Celebrating Rural Life in Ipstones
The Ipstones Agricultural Show is a long-standing highlight for the local farming community and residents from across the surrounding area. Each year, the event celebrates the region’s agricultural heritage while creating a fun and educational day out for families and visitors.
The show will feature a packed programme of activities and competitions, including:
- Judging of more than 50 cattle and over 200 sheep from a variety of breeds
- Shire horse and pygmy goat judging
- A large horticultural, pet and poultry competition
- A traditional gymkhana event and main ring displays
- A family-friendly dog show
- Classic car displays and fairground attractions
- Over 60 trade, craft and charity stalls
Together, these activities showcase the skills, traditions and passion that define the local farming community while creating a welcoming event for people of all ages.
Supporting a Thriving Rural Community
The £500 grant from Connect Fibre will help the society continue delivering this well-loved event and ensure it remains accessible, engaging and sustainable for years to come. The event also plays an important role in promoting rural life, supporting local businesses and giving young people the chance to learn more about farming and agriculture.
Visitors attending the show will also be able to stop by the Connect Fibre stand on the day, where the team will be on hand to chat about full fibre broadband and how improved connectivity can benefit rural communities.
