What Is Connect Fibre's Content Filtering Policy?

Are There Any Websites or Online Services I Can't Access on the Connect Fibre Network?

At Connect Fibre, we do not block any traffic on our network unless we are legally required to do so.  This means you are free to access the websites, applications, and services you choose. We also do not perform Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).

Please note that we use Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) as our default IP addressing method. If you experience issues with services below, this is usually due to CGNAT rather than any restrictions on our network.

 CGNAT may affect:

  • Port forwarding
  • VPN connections
  •  Hosting online game servers
  •  Remote working for organisations that do not support CGNAT
  •  Moderate or Closed NAT types when gaming

If any of the above apply to you, we recommend adding a Static IP address to your service. A Static IP is available for an additional £5 per month and can be added to your package at any time.

If you want to understand more about the difference between CGNAT and Static IP, please visit: What IP addresses do you offer?
