Does Connect Fibre use PPPoE or DHCP?

Connect Fibre's network utilises DHCP and doesn't support PPoE

Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) is used by ADSL, FTTC and other connections. Our network utilises Dynamic Host Configuration (DHCP).

This applies to our "Static IP" service as well -
we use a reserved DHCP system for our "Static" IP addresses, so your ISP supplied or 3rd party router still needs to use DHCP. Changing this configuration option may result in your connection going down.

For more information on Static IP addresses, please see here: What IP addresses do you offer?

Our TP Links are set to automatically use DHCP, and pull the relevant networking information. Your information may be different, for an example, see below:

If you wish to use your own router, please see here: How to use your own router - please ensure it's set to DHCP config.

PPPoE routers will not work on our network.
