In this guide we will show you how to check your network health and the status of your connected devices
1. Checking the Status of Your Network and Devices
On the Home Screen, you’ll see an overview of your network:
-
Nodes: This refers to the number of routers and mesh devices you have in your network.
-
Clients: This shows the number of individual devices currently connected to your network.
If there are any issues, like a disconnected mesh device, you’ll see an alert here. If everything’s working well, you’ll see a message saying, "Everything looks good!"
Checking Device Status:
-
View Connected Devices
Scroll down on the Home Screen to see a list of all connected devices. -
Signal Strength
Each device’s signal strength is displayed in a simple format. If you tap on a device, you’ll get more details, including the dBm rating (which should be between -30 and -70, with closer to -30 being better) and the channel it's using.
2. Checking Mesh Node Signal Strength:
-
Network Map
On the Home Screen, tap on the graphic that shows your router and mesh nodes. -
Select a Node
Tap on any mesh node to see its signal strength. You’ll get the dBm rating (again, aiming for a value between -30 and -70).
