How to turn off Wi-Fi on your Linksys Router

To turn off the Wi-Fi in Connect Fibre routers follow the steps below.

  • Please connect your device to the Linksys Router via Ethernet Cable to ensure you won't loose connection when you turn off Wi-Fi.
  • On a computer, please go to 192.168.1.1 or myrouter.local on your browser and login to the router dashboard. Click here for the guide to help you Login.
  • Find CA at the bottom of the page - please click on this to unlock further configuration options. Your page will refresh.

  • Click on Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Switch the toggle to OFF next to to 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands to turn off Wi-Fi. 
Click on Apply and then Ok to shut the window. 

  • You have turned off your Wi-Fi,
  • To turn back on go to Wi-Fi Settings and toggle the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands back to ON.
