At Connect Fibre, supporting the communities we serve is just as important as delivering fast, reliable full fibre broadband. That’s why we’re proud to have awarded a £460 community grant to the 1st Repton Scout Group, helping them purchase new tents for future scout camps.
Supporting Young People in Rural Communities
Scouting provides young people with invaluable opportunities to learn practical life skills, build confidence and develop teamwork — all while enjoying the great outdoors.
Camping is a core part of the scouting experience, giving children and young people the chance to challenge themselves, form friendships and create lifelong memories.
The new tents funded by Connect Fibre will allow more scouts to take part in camps throughout the year, ensuring they can continue to enjoy safe, exciting and enriching outdoor activities.
Investing in Local Community Projects
Carolyn Renwick, Community Engagement Officer at Connect Fibre, said:
“Scouting offers young people incredible opportunities to learn, grow and build friendships, and camping is at the heart of that experience. We’re really pleased to support the 1st Repton Scout Group with equipment that will help more young people enjoy everything scouting has to offer.”
As a community-first full fibre broadband provider, Connect Fibre is committed to investing in local initiatives that make a real difference. Our community grants programme is designed to support grassroots organisations, charities and groups that help rural areas thrive — both digitally and socially.
More Than Just Full Fibre Broadband
While we’re busy delivering faster, fairer and more reliable broadband to rural communities, we’re equally focused on giving back to the people who live there. From supporting youth organisations like the 1st Repton Scout Group to funding local projects, we’re proud to play a role in strengthening the communities we connect.`
We can’t wait to see the new tents in action — and we wish the 1st Repton Scout Group many happy adventures ahead! 🏕️
