Smart Farming Takes Root at Heaton House Farm
Smart Farming Takes Root at Heaton House Farm

At Connect Fibre, we love seeing rural communities thrive — and our latest project at Heaton House Farm in Staffordshire is a brilliant example of how digital innovation is shaping the future of farming.

We’ve recently completed the first smart farming installation at this much-loved family-run farm and award-winning wedding venue. The team at Heaton House Farm are embracing technology across their day-to-day operations, from automating key tasks to improving how they monitor activity across their site. Our installation gives them the smart tools and connectivity framework needed to support these systems and help the farm work more efficiently than ever.

Why smart technology matters on the farm

Heaton House Farm has always been a forward-thinker, but like many rural businesses, it faced challenges when it came to adopting the latest digital tools. Modern farming relies heavily on connected equipment, apps and monitoring systems, all of which need a reliable digital backbone to perform at their best.

That’s where our smart farming installation comes in.

Our smart farming setup now supports:

  • Security kits for vehicle and equipment tracking, as well as gate and property breach alerts
  • Energy usage monitoring kits to help manage consumption more effectively
  • Crop storage moisture control kits
  • Water usage monitoring kits
  • Improved on-site connectivity for both farm operations and events
  • A future-ready foundation for the next wave of agricultural technology

A step towards a more connected countryside

Below is a video of our CEO, Stefan Stanislawski, chatting with Sarah, the owner of Heaton House Farm, about how the installation is already supporting their operations and long-term plans.
