About the Role

 

As the Junior Installation engineer, you’ll be working alongside an experienced engineer as part of a two person team learning all aspects of installing Full Fibre into our customer’s homes and businesses. 

You’ll be learning how we complete installations to a high standard and help to deliver a fantastic customer experience. You’ll be taught how to complete all aspects of the installation from start to finish so connecting the customer from our DP in the street either at the top of a pole or blowing a fibre through our network and terminating it in the street chamber, mounting an ETB, installing the ONT inside the premise’s, connecting and testing the router. 

The ideal candidate would be a hands-on practical person with a keen desire to learn new skills perhaps from a similar industry with previous use of power tools or similar. Excellent customer skills are an absolute must, as is a strong team ethic and willingness to go the extra mile when needed to make sure our customers are connected 1st time. An outside the box thinker able to bring new ideas to the table. 

 

Key Accountability & Responsibility

Due to the fast-growing nature of our business, you should be a self-starter who is health and safety conscious and have great attention to detail, as well as:


  • Successful 1st time completion of all installations in a friendly, professional manner to a high standard. 
  • Meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction and expectations. 
  • Ensuring quality standards are met and maintained. 
  • Documenting of the installation from start to finish through use of a smart phone app 
  • Completion of digital forms for reporting purposes. 
  • Fault finding and diagnosis using test equipment. 
  • Safe use of power tools and other hand tooling. 
  • Adhering to safe working practices. 
  • Health and safety compliance. 
  • Maintain and control adequate van stock levels and materials. 


Knowledge & Skills

Ideally you will have the following although training can be provided for the right candidate 

  • Full UK Driving Licence. 
  • SA001 & SA002 (desirable) 
  • NRSWA (desirable)
